PLUG-IN

One particularity of the public space program is the extension water-plug. This program contributes to the instability concept. The idea of turn an old boat into a floating market, cinema, night club..., brought us to design the station as a receptacle. Every time an extension water-plug 'locks' on the station, the whole public space acquires a new identity. The invasion of a food market every week, the additional space of the refurbished boat can momentarily re-qualify and dynamise, spatially as well as functionally, the entire hub.
In addition, land-plugs (market-cars & trolley) and private water-plugs (fishers & market-boats) must be able to access the terminal. They’ll be generators, placing themselves instinctively on the public space.
